Drive the South Unit from the visitor center
Allow at least two hours for the 36-mile scenic drive before adding wildlife stops or trails. Ask the visitor center about current road work and avoid Ridgeline Nature Trail while its access remains closed after the road collapse.

Return to Medora before the evening reservation
Leave enough time to shower, eat, and reach the Burning Hills Amphitheatre. The Pitchfork Steak Fondue and Medora Musical are seasonal, ticketed events rather than guaranteed walk-up stops.

Reserve dinner at Pitchfork Steak Fondue.
